ユービーアイソフトが2017年10月27日に発売した、古代エジプトを美しく描いたアクションゲーム『アサシン クリード オリジンズ』に関して、200時間以上同作をプレイしているという63歳のお婆ちゃんの存在が明らかとなり注目を集めました。
アサシングランマを紹介したのは、TwitterユーザーのLone Gamerさん。Lone Gamerさんの母親であるというグランマが『アサシン クリード オリジンズ』をプレイしている様子を撮影した動画をTwitterで公開しました。ツイートによると、動画はグランマが2周目のゲームプレイを開始した際に撮影したものであり、1周目のゲームプレイでは200時間以上をかけてプラチナトロフィーまで獲得したとのこと。グランマがゲームをするのは、NESでマリオをプレイして以来だったとしています。
またLone Gamerさんは追記として、グランマは何度かエジプトを訪れファラオを中心に古代エジプトについて研究していたことがあると説明。ゲーム内での古代エジプトの再現度の高さに衝撃を受けたことが長時間のプレイにつながったとのことです。
