2011年の終わりから『FIFA 12』が6週連続でナンバー1に居座ったUKチャートですが、スクウェア・エニックスが贈る大作RPGの続編『ファイナルファンタジーXIII-2』が初登場で遂にその座を奪い取りました。
また、2位にはコナミの『Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection』が、さらに5位にはバンダイナムコの『ソウルキャリバーV』が初登場でトップ10入りを果たし国産タイトルが健闘。しかしソウルキャリバーは初登場1位だった2008年の前作『IV』ほどの勢いはなかったようです。
その他の新作では同じくコナミの『NeverDead』が発売されていますが、TOP40圏外のスタートとなった模様です。
