Bethesda Softworksは、『Fallout 76』のトレイラーで使用されていたカバー版「Country Roads（カントリー・ロード）」を7月4日よりiTunesで発売すると発表しました。
もはや、『Fallout 76』といったらこれ、という曲と言っても差し支えないものです。ツイート内に記載されている通り、売上は100%「Habitat for Humanity」という団体に寄付されます。この団体は家のない人々に家を建てて提供することを目的とした国際NGOで、日本にも支部を持っています。

『Fallout 76』ではクラフト要素の強化や、その逆の破壊的な要素も示唆されているため、その関連なのかもしれません。また、アメリカの独立記念日でもあるので、なにかの意図を感じますね。
その場所から“未来が始まる”のか、それとも“人は過ちを繰り返す”のか……。ゲーム外ではひとまず、「Country Roads」を聞いて“未来を始めて”みるのもいいかもしれません。
