5月末にミネソタ州で発生した白人警官による黒人男性の暴行死亡事件を受け、ロックスター・ゲームスはサービス展開中のオンラインゲーム『Grand Theft Auto Online』『Red Dead Online』のアクセスを一時的に休止することを発表しました。
公式Twitterの発表によると、サーバー停止は同事件で亡くなったジョージ・フロイドさんが遺したものを尊重するためとしており、2020年6月4日14時から16時（日本時間6月5日3時～5時）までの2時間を予定。期間中は両ゲームのアクセスやプレイは不可能になります。
また、他のツイートでは米国慈善団体の格付けを行う「Charity Navigator」で紹介されている団体に対して支援を行うことを表明。人種差別による被害者や犠牲者に対してのサポートを強化する旨の投稿を行っています。
