Respawn Entertainment開発の『タイタンフォール2』に登場するトレーニングステージ「ガントレット」のタイムアタックにて、4月22日にWhatevershoe氏が11.2秒の記録を出し世界新記録を更新しましたが、5月2日には元世界記録（11.7秒）保持者のCash Mayo氏が11.1秒の記録を出し王座を奪還しました。
Cash Mayo氏は2019年に、グレネードの爆風を駆使するという一風変わったテクニックで12秒の記録を更新していました。なお、『Apex Legends』のレジェンド「オクタン」のバックストーリーには、このテクニックがインスピレーションを与えているという説がささやかれています。
Respawn Entertainmentの広報担当Ryan K. Rigney氏は、『タイタンフォール2』のリリースから5年後に、「ガントレット」の世界記録を更新したプレイヤーがいることに驚嘆しています。
